The Gospel

 Jesus

  Savior - Lord - King - Judge - Light - Lover

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them.” Genesis 1:27-28

“You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, or you will surely die.” Genesis 2:17

“When Eve saw the tree produced fruit good for food… She took some and ate it.” Genesis 3:6

“Sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned.” Romans 5:12

“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

“Just think how much the Blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so we can worship the living God. For by the Eternal Spirit Christ offered Himself for our sins.” Hebrews 9:14

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not be destroyed but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“For We must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ…” 2 Corinthians 5:10

“God saves you by His grace when you believe. You can’t take credit for this; It is a gift of God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done., so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Now we must, “Repent and be baptized to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness and removal of our sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38

“Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name (Jesus) they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents (turn from sin and deception); and if they drink any deadly poison it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.” Mark 16:16-18

  1. Hi great site brother - just 2 observations I've noted in case this helps to clarify:
    (1) Acts 4:12 is slightly misquoted on this page (this appears to just be a 'typo'; if you re-read this you will spot the error!);
    (2) Part of the verse as quoted in this page from Mark 16:18 seems to imply that it is just metaphorical, since the suggested meaning given in parenthesis is '(turn from sin and deception)', rather than the simple literal meaning which is that every believer is protected against venemous creatures. To confirm this, if we examine the underlying Greek text (see link below), this makes clear that the verse refers to the picking up of serpents by HAND, i.e. the English translation means just what it says, namely that a believer is protected from snakes (see Acts 28:3-5). Here's the link to the Greek interlinear to confirm the original meaning:

    1. Hey thanks for the encouragement. I fixed the grammatical error! Thanks for that. With the parenthesis on Mark 16:18 if you look in the Greek serpent is hebraism representing sin and deception. The words to take up can be read “to put off”.

      While I believe we have authority to trample over literal snakes and serpents. I can’t say I’ve ever felt the unction by the Spirit to grab a snake in Jesus name. But I have had an unction to continually turn from sin, and by the truth of the scripture, forsake deception.
